She was predeceased by: her parents, George Brookes and Maude Brookes (Bush); her husband Arthur Higley; her son Alan; and her siblings, George Brookes, Walter Brookes, Helen Gardner, Beverly Knapp and Elva Pogar.
She is survived by: her son Edward Higley of Guilford; her granddaughters, Christine Williams (David) of Concord, NH and Rebecca Stone (Don) of Guilford; her great grandchildren, Caroline and Brady; and her brother Tommy Brookes (Penny) of Eureka, MT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
