Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Rachel M Hamel of Manchester, New Hampshire, who passed away at the age of 92, on May 9, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. George Hamel; her parents, Louis Fournier and Yvette Fournier; and her siblings, Louise, Maurice and Phil.
She is survived by: her children, Ken (Donna) of Boston, MA, Keith (Dianne) of Gloucester, MA, Elaine, Brian (Judy) of San Jose, CA, Marc of Hudson and Steve (Jill) of Concord; her grandchildren, Jenna, Chad, Ann Marie, Andrea, Susanna, Chase, Ava and Ella; and her sister Suzanne. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (14 Elm St, Manchester, NH 03103). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rachel's memory to Bowman Place, 24 Old Bedford Rd, Bedford NH 03110.
