He was predeceased by : his father Edward Companero. He is survived by : his mother Cynthia Aalto; his sons, Austin Hava and Cole; his stepfather Matti of Portland, ME; his siblings, Paul Novak of Auburn, IL, Paula Baines (Ronald) of Biddeford, ME and Victoria Companero (Ben Hustus) of Manchester; and his stepsiblings, Linda Aalto of Portland, ME, Jennifer Aalto of Saco, ME and Omar Reyes Abdul Malik of Denver, CO. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chris' mother, Cynthia or his sister, Paula to a future trust fund that will be established for Cole.
