He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Merrill and Doris Estes (late John Estes); his brother William Merrill; and his brothers-in-law, Richard McCann and John LaJoie.
He is survived by: his wife Florence; his daughter Cheryl Huntsinger of Ellenton, FL; his sister Bonnie McCann of Dover; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Farham (Fred) of Wells, ME and Mary LaJoie of Lakeside, CA; and his son Joseph Merrill. He is also survived by nieces nephews.
