She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Vana and Leah Diane Vana (Wishnia); and her spouse Lois. She is survived by: her children, Leah Shalek of Karmiel, Israel, Paul Shalek (Lisa) of Danville, Gary Shalek (Shawn Lee Carter) of Nashua and Winter Alton; her grandchildren, Benjamin Shalek, Zacharia Shalek, Lexian Shalek, Nicole Shalek, Russell Shalek, Charles Shalek, Alizsa Shalek, Allison Shalek, Riley Shalek and Dillon Shalek; and her siblings-in-law, David Shalek of Vergennes, VT, Jules Shalek (Robin) of Vergennes, VT and Lois Graber of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, countless friends and honorary family members.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery (110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303).
