He was predeceased by: his spouse Avelina Simpson (Bustamante); his parents, James Simpson and Alice Simpson (Strong); and his siblings, James F. Simpson Jr., Peggy Simpson and Mark Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Simpson Jr. (Mariam) and Rachel Cossette (Timothy); his grandchildren, Emily Simpson, Stephen Cossette and David Cossette; his siblings, Margaret Thompson (Ron), David Simpson (Beth), Richard Simpson, Laura Cross and John Simpson; and his nieces and nephews, Laurie, David Jr., Karen, Anthony, Melanie and Eric.
