He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gerling and Jane E. Gerling (Turner). He is survived by: his wife June (Markert) of Hudson; his daughters, Michelle D. Szaro (Hud Bynum) of Worcester, MA and Kimberly L. Gerling of Hudson; his grandchildren, Cory Szaro (Autumn), Christian Szaro (Melissa), Brenda Varieur (Nick) and Matthew Gerling; his great grandchildren, Leonidas, Carter, George and Emma; his siblings, Bruce Gerling of Syracuse, NY and Linda Hildebrand (Lee) of Milwaukee, WI; and his nieces, Heather, Erin and Mandy.
