It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerome Hugh O'Mara Sr. (Newport, New Hampshire), who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sally; his children, Vicki (Mary), Susan (Tooti), Bill, Doug (Kimmy), Matt (Kim), Mike and Jerome, Jr.; and his parents, Edward O'Mara and Isabel O'Mara. He was also cherished by wife, seven children, 43 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home (42 Main St, Newport, NH 03773). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (32 Beech St, Newport, NH 03773).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Royal Academy in Sunapee, NH.
