Richard Hurd Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 80, Richard Hurd of Newport, New Hampshire passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Hurd to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hurd and Maxine Hurd (Boutwell); and his siblings, Elaine Gebo, John Boutwell, Robert Hurd, Preston Hurd and William "Bill" Hurd.
He is survived by: his wife Dona LaFountaine (Lord) of Newport; his children, Lori Ann Stefanik of Murrieta, CA and Dan LaFountaine (Samantha) of Croydon, NH; his sister Priscilla Nichols; his sisters-in-law, Roberta Hurd and Sherri Hurd; and his grandchildren, Christian Robinson and Colby Stefanik. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the North Newport Cemetery (300 Oak St, Newport, NH 03773).
