She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Rooney and Edith Rooney (McKiel). She is survived by : her sons, Stephen C. Mitchell (Joanne) of Holderness, NH and Gregory C. Mitchell of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her granddaughters, Carys and Kellen Mitchell; and her former life partner Charles Mitchell.

Donations in her memory may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society.
