With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris K. Underwood of Peterborough, New Hampshire, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris K. Underwood to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Krauss and Anastasia Krauss (Gillen); and her husband C. Jerome Underwood, Jr. (Jerry). She is survived by: her sister Marie; her brother-in-law Melvin Fryer; her pets, Molly and Max; her close friends, Campbell, Lily of Westbrook, Alistair of Seattle, Tristan, Ghi of Düsseldorf, Germany, Jereme C. Underwood of Tamworth, Kelly Underwood Lydon of Sandwich, Michele Underwood of Corvallis, Montana, Kimberly Levy (Todd) of Austin and Rachel of Austin, Texas.; her nieces, Susan Sessoms of New Jersey, Cathy Meerbergan and Abigail Wendell; and also, Christopher Underwood (Fiona) of Jaffrey, Matthew of Naperville, Chelsea of Campton Hills, Illinois, Sarah and Brayden of Georgetown.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jellison Funeral Home (25 Concord St, Peterborough, NH 03458).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris' name to Peterborough Fire and Rescue Fire Rescue.us, Home Healthcare Hospice and Community Services hcsservices.org., or Monadnock Humane Society.
