It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William N. Chagnon of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Nelson Chagnon and Pearl Chagnon (Purtell); his wife Shirley Chagnon (Hamilton); his children, Thomas Chagnon, Susan Bauer and Christine Dubois; and his siblings, Donald Chagnon, Del Chagnon, Larry Chagnon, Terry Chagnon and Anita Chagnon.
He is survived by : his son William J. Chagnon; his siblings, Richard Chagnon, Sherry Brackett, Audrie Baxter and Kelly Plummer; his stepchildren, Gary "Buddy" Bedell (Linda), Clayton Bedell, Virginia Botsford, Adora Stock, Ellen Bedell and Deb Hussey; and his brothers, Fred Chagnon and Allen Bedell.
