She was predeceased by : her husband Randall Hale; and her parents, Herman Abels and Karla Abels (Straupe). She is survived by : her son Alan Hale (Julianna); her grandchildren, Daniel of Atkinson and Rachel of Atkinson; her siblings, Günter Abels (Sophia) of Bad Zwischenahn, Germany and Christa Sahr (Jürgen Sahr) of Bremerhaven, Germany; her niece Gabriella Sahr Barkmann (Thomas); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Clara, Luca and Leo of Germany.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home (116 Main St, Plaistow, NH 03865). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 5:15 PM at the same location.
