We announce the death of Ann Van Ost Rickards (Portsmouth, New Hampshire), who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 74. Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Ost and Jane Helen Van Ost; and her brother Robert Van Ost. She is survived by: her husband James Rickards; her siblings, Susan Van Ost, Nancy Carpenter, Sally Siebold, John Van Ost, Joan Hobson and Cathy Kane; and her children, Scott Rickards of Delray Beach, FL, Alexandra Embers of North Hampton, NH and William Rickards of Sleepy Hollow, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
