He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph O. Thesing and Margaret A. Neiswenter. He is survived by: his children, Tyler Thesing, Kelsey Thesing and Brooke Thesing; his granddaughters, Navaya and Sophia; his close friend Janet Perrier; and his sisters, Nancy and Margaret Prettyman.
