Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Richard leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry H. Hartung and Elsie B. Hartung of Methuen, MA.. He is survived by: his son James R. Hartung; his wife Pamela Newbegin; his daughter-in-law Kimberley Hartung; and his grandson Declan Hartung. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home and Cremation Service (42 Main St, Salem, NH 03079). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church (171 Zion Hill Rd, Salem, NH 03079).
