He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosemarie Amaru (Dini) and Francis Amaru; and his siblings, Francis "Joe" Amaru, Marie Massey, James Amaru and Thomas Amaru.
He is survived by: his sons, George Amaru (Wynona) of Keene, Anthony M. Amaru of Hinsdale and Dominick M. Amaru of Hinsdale; his siblings, Terri DePalma of East Boston, MA. and Frank Amaru (Lynn); and his grandchildren, Orin Amaru, Dylan Amaru, Malachi Amaru and Rosie Amaru. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
