With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John R. Avery of Swanzey, New Hampshire, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Avery to pay them a last tribute.

As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and the legacy John leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymund Avery and Marion Avery; his former life partner Florence Avery (Parsons); and his sons, Douglas, Charles and John.

He is survived by : his wife Judith Avery (Madden).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral Home (33 Marlboro St, Keene, NH 03431). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (679 Old Homestead Hwy, Swanzey, NH 03446). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. View Cemetery.
