He is survived by: his children, Jan-Robin Brown, Jean Chapman, Jill Rice (Peter), Jeffrey Brown (Ann) and James Brown; his grandchildren, Gregory, Jeremy, Josh Chapman, Kristi Martin, Kelly Holden, Amy Castro-Brown, Courtney Rice, Devon Philibert and Morgan Rice; his siblings, Shirley Elliot, Doris Brown, Gordon Brown (Paula), Burton Brown, Jane Munro (Bob) and Barbara Farmer (Frank); and his in-laws, Tessie Kennedy, Carolyn Reid and Eleanor Gordon (Robert). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
