He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Jay Murphy and Mary Murphy (Long); his brother Paul Murphy Jr.; and his mother-in-law Nancy. He is survived by: his brother David Murphy (Judy) of Montpelier, VT; his wife Barbara Ann Keiper; his children, Daniel (Lori-Anne) of Bethlehem, NH, Jayne (Steve) of Hermon, ME and Shawn (Christine) of Kennebunk, ME.; and his grandchildren, Madison, Hannah, Amelia, Morgan, Casey, Delaney and Patric. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
