He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Bud" Rokes Jr. and Arlene Barrett. He is survived by: his significant other Lynn Carpenter of Winchester; his children, James Rokes Sr. of Winchester and Lori Emery of North Conway, NH; his grandson James Rokes Jr. (Sarah); his great grandchild Carter of Winchester, NH; his granddaughter MacKenzie Rokes (Joseph Walsh) of Keene, NH.; and his siblings, Kathy Collier (Carl) of Zephyr Hills, Julie Richard (Marc) of Winchester, NH, Jenn Lyman (Justin) of Richmond, NH, David Blake (Laura) of Keene, NH and Troy Rokes of Winchester, NH.. He is also survived by aunt, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cheshire Family Funeral Chapel (44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH 03431-1628). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (69 Forest Lake Rd, Winchester, NH 03470).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following: the United Church of Winchester, The Winchester VFW Post 3968 Auxiliary, or Evergreen Cemetery in Winchester, NH.
