He was predeceased by : his parents, May Margaret (Rennie) and David Black Whittemore. He is survived by : his wife Gayle Whittemore (Mathews); his children, Laurie Whittemore of Derry, NH and Scott Whittemore (Magdalena) of Salem, NH; his grandchildren, Grace Whittemore and Connor Willey; and his nephew Nick Leonardis (Bridget) of Salem, NH..
