It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Hale of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Hale and Candace Anita Hale (Thompson); his siblings, Gay Edmunds and Robert Tad Hale; and his brother-in-law William Ralph Ackley.
He is survived by: his daughter Brittney Plourde (Zack); his granddaughter Sylvie of Windham; his children, Robert Hale of Kona and Elizabeth Hale (Matthew Starbuck) of Burlington; and his siblings, Pam Ackley of Cleburne, Deb Skelley (Chip) of Wolfeboro and Steve Hale (Leslie) of Wolfeboro. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lord Funeral Home (23 Club Ln, Wolfeboro, NH 03894). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kingswood Golf Club (24 Kingswood Rd, Wolfeboro, NH 03894). A prayer will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. During Covid on New Year's Eve he showed up unexpectedly at the fire pit.
