He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Formalarie and Thelma Formalarie; his wife Anne Formalarie (Moran); his children, Andrew, Amanda Formalarie, Lauren, Colin Reilly, Kevin and Jessie Formalarie; his grandchildren, Nora, Kendall and Mackenzie; and his sisters, Linda (Les Wheeler), Judy (Michael Mayo), Susan (Jack Norton) and Jayne (Tom Roque). He was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
