With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael Vargas of Allendale, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael left this world on September 23, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Vargas and Helen Vargas. He is survived by: his wife Patti; his sons, Michael and Matthew; and his daughters-in-law, Mary and Paige.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff (257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke's RC Church (340 N Franklin Tpke, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
