He is survived by: his brother Jimmy; his children, Deborah, Cassandra and James A. Jr.; his grandchildren, Basir, Amirah, Porsche, Bahsid, Mustapha, Thomas, Eniya and Nasyr; and his sisters, Lannie (Maxine), Barbara (Bobbi) and Celeste. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
