She was predeceased by : her parents, William Iverson Braxton and Burnette L. Braxton; her stepmother Melvina Braxton; and her grandchildren, Quasaan Joyce and Liah Alexis Braxton.
She is survived by : her sons, Carlos T. Braxton (Tonya) of Fontana and William I. Braxton, III (Shakinah Moody) of Atlantic City. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
