With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Laurie Brekke of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She is survived by: her husband Vidar Brekke; her daughter Charlie; her parents, Rima Borden and Myron Borden; her sister Suzanne Borden; her pets, Freya, Cilvi, Hiro and Storm; her aunts, Diane Ginsberg and Stacey; her uncle Dennis Borden; her cousins, David Ginsberg (Caryn), Steven Ginsberg (Amy), Aaron Borden (Elina) and Jared Borden (Brittany); and also Charlie.
In lieu of flowers, Laurie wished for friends and loved ones to make a donation to Charlie's education fund. Donations can be made out to "The Charlie Brekke Beneficiary Trust" and mailed to: Charlie Brekke, 36 E Lincoln Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716.
