He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo DePinto and Anna DePinto; his brother Aldo; his brothers-in-law, James Emmer and Donald Zampella; and his stepson Robert Woodward (Brandi).

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sisters, Agatha Emmer and Octavia Zampella; his children, Dr. Austen LaRocca (Anthony), Col. Vincent DePinto (Kait) and Major Kevin DePinto (Nicole); his grandchildren, Xavier LaRocca, Sophia, William, Nicholas, Abigail and Sadie DePinto; his stepchildren, Peter, Carol Ann DeNicola, John, Ann, Jason and Jodie Woodward; his stepgrandchildren, Peter, Jacob DeNicola, Christopher, Taylor, John, Robert, Autumn, Logan and Maddox Woodward; Camille.
