She was predeceased by: her parents, William McLaughlin and Helen McLaughlin; and her husband Frank W. Short. She is survived by: her children, Christine Scanlon (Lewy), Francis Short (Bambett), Brian Short (Kimberly) and Andrew Short (Tricia); her caregiver Hall; her grandchildren, Gabriella, Reilly, Maura, Joshua, Owen, Katherine, William and Kylie; and her siblings, Mary Broadhurst, Nancy Dougherty, Rhe McLaughlin and William McLaughlin (Natalie).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Maris Stella R C Church (252 50th St, Avalon, NJ 08202). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Of St. Brendan the Navigator Parish (5012 Dune Dr, Avalon, NJ 08202). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
