Kenneth Wefer wrote a sympathy message

“My heartfelt and deep sympathy to To and Bill and all his family. Devastating sadness is the only feeling I have right now. I always looked forward the hour(s) long conversations Bill and I would have covering everything from politics, to Mrs. Grapel, to religion to Knockwurst and Sauerkraut. I met Bill in 6th grade at 25...54 years ago. We were thick as thieves. Bill was my brother. Often when I needed someone to have a heartfelt conversation it would be Bill I would turn to. In so many ways he had an impact on who I am today...and I'm grateful for that. I always felt safe and loved with him. He was the glue that held us all together. I, as all of us will, will miss him and I will have a hole in my life that he filled. As is Bill's sense of humor, I think he chose today to go so as not to suffer Tom Brady in another Superbowl. It is a comfort to imagine him and George together again cracking each other up. I've shed many tears today and I'm sure there'll be more.”
