It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Tuma of Barnegat, New Jersey, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of John Tuma to show support.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Tuma (Grimm) and Victor Tuma; and his brothers, Victor B. Tuma, MD (Peggyann) and James Tuma. He is survived by: his wife Rita Tuma (Branning); his children, Eric J. Tuma, Lauren M. Rollis (Peter J.), Sean E. Tuma (Julianne R. Mackey) and Catherine E. Tuma (Vinny Santoriello); and his grandchildren, William, Emma, Jonathan, Angelo, Lindsay and Ethan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home (1012 Valley Rd, Gillette, NJ 07933). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul RC Church (250 Bebout Ave, Stirling, NJ 07980).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.
