It is with sadness that the passing of Ruth Dalton of Barnegat, New Jersey is shared. Ruth, born on June 4, 1942 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Ruth will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Ruth by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Ruth is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Ruth’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Dennis; her parents, Joseph Agerkis (Margaret Agerkis) and Margaret Agerkis; and her brother Joseph Agerkis Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Denise Kavanagh (John) and Kevin; and her sisters, Frances Thomas (Susie) and Patricia Bradshaw. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint Pius X (300 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08731).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fulfill, the food bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties, at 3300 Route 66, Neptune, NJ 07753.
