It is with sadness that the passing of Shirley M. Bakos of Barnegat, New Jersey is shared. Shirley, born on January 6, 1935, passed away on July 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her son Bobby; her parents, Anna and George; and her siblings, Patricia, George and William.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan (Greg), Diane (Perry), Robin (Jerome), Laurie (Dave), Sari and Allison (Ronald); her brother Richard Janovsky (Kathy); and her sisters-in-law, Betty Bartmess, Mary Bakos and Pat Youngman Janovsky. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shirley's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors. The family has chosen to send donations to Wounded Warriors ProjectDonate Now (https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org).
