With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas E. Sloss of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2026 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sloss and Elsie Wright Sloss; his wife Mabel I. Smith Sloss; and his grandson Mark Sloss. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Ierubino (Mark) of Basking Ridge, Suzanne Gonda (Andrew) of Topton, PA and Paul Sloss (Sharon) of Middlefield, MA; his grandchildren, Pamela Young, Amanda Sobchinsky, Nicholas Ierubino, Scott Sloss, Erin Key, Emily Sanchez and Abigail Bowman; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Gavin, Gracie, Stella and Rowan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a local food pantry.
