He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Stanley Schaefer and Madeline Schaefer (Ferguson). He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Schaefer (Karen) and Jennifer Schaefer Oakes; his grandchildren, Emily, William, Elizabeth and Jonathan; his brother David Schaefer (Carolyn); his nephew Andrew; and his former wife Carolyn Schaefer.
