He was predeceased by: his father Calvin. He is survived by: his wife Nancy E. Applegate (Herrman); his children, Dr. Jeffrey R. Applegate, Jr. of Point Pleasant, Ann E. Cook (Timothy) of Bay Head and Diane V. Fleming (Bart) of Cranberry Twp; his grandchildren, Emma, Robert "Bobby" Cook, Josie, Leo and Baby Boy Fleming; and his brothers, Fredrick H. Applegate and Calvin "Skip" Applegate, Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (2170 NJ-88, Brick Township, NJ 08724). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
