He is survived by: his friends, Howard "Smittie" Smith, Harold Fitch, Martin Mack and Gerald Glover; his wife Barbara Ann Powell (Johnson); his daughter Karen; his son-in-law Jeffrey Singleton of Odenton, MD; his son Terence; his daughter-in-law Tania Powell of Freehold, NJ; his brothers, Roosevelt Powell of Smithfield, VA, Arnold Powell (Margaret) of Atlanta, GA and Andy Powell of Smithfield, VA; and his grandchildren, Noah Powell, Jordan Powell, Brandon Singleton and Jason Singleton. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.
