Janice touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Janice’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Yurko and Josephine Yurko; and her husband Matt Wernock. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the S. Fryczynski & Sons Funeral Home (857 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne, NJ 07002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Parish of St. John Paul II at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (39 E 22nd St, Bayonne, NJ 07002).
