She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelbert Merry and Katherine Merry (Née Flynn); and her sister Elizabeth McCurdy (David McCurdy). She is survived by: her husband Harold Fitzpatrick; her children, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick (Michael Wahl), Kevin Fitzpatrick (Christie), Matthew Fitzpatrick (Caitlin) and Christopher Fitzpatrick; her niece Katherine Willette (Thomas); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Clare, Emma and Audrey Willette; her nephew John McCurdy (Laura); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ian and Aren McCurdy; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan, Erin and Gavin Fitzpatrick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the March of Dimes (https://www.marchofdimes.org) where Joanne received scholarship assistance to attend nursing school.
