He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Elfert and Viola Elfert (Weingart); and his sisters, Judy Elfert and Mary Doyle. He is survived by: his wife Maria Elfert (Spicuzza); his children, Nichole Carlson (John) and Benjamin Elfert (Becky); his brothers, Joseph and Jerome Elfert; and his grandchildren, Holden Elfert, Elias, Marcus, Sam Carlson, Gabriella, Sofia and Juliana Gonzalez.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like everyone to remember Michael by raising a Crown Royal and 7-up and toasting his memory.
