It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Scanlan of Belleville, New Jersey, who passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Helen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Kupiec and Josephine Skalski Kupiec; her son Michael Scanlan; and her husband Leo Scanlan. She is survived by: her niece Susan Menture (Michael); her great-niece Laura Menture; her great-nephew Michael Menture of West Orange; and her nieces, Carol Kupiec and Eileen Kupiec of Scotia.
