He was predeceased by: his parents, Angel Rivera and Maria Huertas Rivera; his wife Gloria E. Rivera; and his son Luis A. Rivera Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Luisa Rivera, Sandra Rivera, Carmen McGlynn and Edwin Rivera. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
