He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Sylstra and Lena J. Van Hoff Sylstra. He is survived by: his wife Christina (Bowman); his sons, Douglas Sylstra and Brian Sylstra; his granddaughter Haley Sylstra; his stepgrandchildren, Raven, Eric and Ashton; and his sister Janette Hendershot.
