He was predeceased by : his parents, Elmer Steffen and Lydia Steffen (Knispel). He is survived by : his wife Susan Cordes; his daughter Julie Heath (Rick) of Niwot, CO; his granddaughters, Emily and Alison; and his siblings, Jeanne Howell of Long Valley, NJ, Jack Steffen (Marolyn) of Valparaiso, IN and Lorli Steffen of Saddle Brook, NJ..
