We announce the death of Gerald P. Tyne of Bergenfield, New Jersey, born in Teaneck, New Jersey, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Winifred DeScepolo, Jeffrey Tyne and Victor Tyne. He is survived by: his pet Gerry; his wife Veronica Victoria Tyne; his children, Anthony Penn and Veronica Penn-Turner; his son-in-law Michael Turner; his grandchildren, Dejah Turner, Korey Turner and Skye Noel Penn; his brothers, Barry and Andy Tyne; his nephews, Brian Tyne, Michael Tyne and Brendan Tyne; and his niece Jennifer Tyne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, collegues, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Riewerts Memorial (187 S Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist R. C. Church (29 N Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ 07621).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Gerry's memory to Alzheimer's New Jersey, helping provide care, support, education, and resources to New Jersey families affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
