She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothea Volz and Herman Volz; her husband Joseph Pier, Jr.; her son Edward Pier, Sr.; and her son-in-law Kevin Connelly.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Pier (Rebecca), Michael Pier (Nancy) and Annette Connelly; her daughter-in-law Cynthia L. Pier; her grandchildren, Joseph Pier, Jr., Robin Pier, Edward Pier, Jr. (Anne Marie), David Pier, Jennifer Pier, Justin Dignazio, Nolan Connelly and Arianna Stolowitz; and her great grandchildren, Vincent and Dominick Pier.
