He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Cody and Mary Cody (Smyth); his brothers, Frederic and Peter; and his brother-in-law Edward Jarose.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy (Anthony) and John (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Alyssa Marie (Jason), Anna Elizabeth, Anthony Peter, Austin Raymond, Andrew James and Ava Rose; his great grandchildren, Milania, Lucia and Santino; his siblings, Rev. John R. Cody, C. Ss and James; his siblings-in-law, Patricia, Judy, Susan, Frank, Arlene Parisi, John Ober, MaryAnn Swartz and Gerry Aubert; Rosemarie Cody (Parisi). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial (646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Little Flower (310 Plainfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922). A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery (459 Chestnut St, Stirling, NJ 07980).
