He is survived by: his children, Francis McAteer of Maplewood, Patrick McAteer of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Richard McAteer (Ellen) of Manchester, John McAteer of Roseland, Ellen McAteer of Harwich, Massachusetts and Deirdre McAteer of Cape May; and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Maura, Sara (Mario), Richard (Marissa), Kristin (Gerard) and Michael.
