She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband George T. Humes; her children, Cathy A. Humes and David G. Humes (Shannon); her grandchildren, Miranda Humes and Quincy Humes; her brother Charles Cathcart; her sister-in-law Carol Pettit; and her nieces and nephews, Charles Cathcart, Jr. (Nicole), Kimberly Cathcart, John Pettit (Jackie), Robert Pettit and Susan Pettit.
